Emi- Jay Hair Ties are on the top of my list right now. They are so great because they don't crease or snag your hair, you can have fun with the colors, and they double as a bracelet and look great around your wrist (which is great for me because I am constantly walking around with a ponytail holder on my arm). Recently I got the summer collection which is full of bright colors. If brights aren't for you though, no worries. You can obtain Emi- Jays in just about any color you can think of. Check out the Emi-Jay website... you'll be smitten too i'm sure.

Leopard print on your feet. Being the lover of leopard that I am and having the obsession with Olivia Palermo's style that I do, I swoon while looking at pictures of her in leopard print kicks. I love how she pairs her Charlotte Olympia booties perfectly with any outfit, as well as the loafers and flats she slips on for a more casual look. What a perfect example of how leopard print is a year round trend and can completely spice up any outfit and add a playful yet feminine touch. Love.

Fedoras. Right now they completely have my heart. I just bought my own this past week in NYC and basically have not removed it from my head since. I would say this is the number one summer must have accessory. It instantly rejuvenates any outfit and is perfect for the beach, the city, or a lunch date. Below are some celebs that can seriously rock the fedora. Check out Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, J. Crew, Banana Republic, and Forever 21... they have awesome selections.

Right now I am absolutely loving dark banisters paired with a predominantly light palette and hard wood flooring. It's so crisp and, I think, such an elegant touch to a home. One thing I love is finding things that I hope to incorporate in my own house one day. Dark banisters with lovely white molding are certainly on the list.

So I just bought a couple of colors from the Texas collection the other day... totally digging them. I think this is such a wonderful collection for the current season. It has brights, darks, and a neutral- definitely covering all the basis. One of my favorite thing about OPI is the creativity that goes into the names of the polishes and, of course, they didn't disappoint with this collection... in fact, I would say this is some of their best work yet in terms of coordinating names with a theme. My personal fav is "Houston We Have a Purple." Love it, mean it.

Bare Minerals just released their new skin care line a couple of weeks ago. Of course, my mom and I ordered it right away to see if it would be as great as the make up. It's made from a natural raremineral active soil complex. So far, i've been thoroughly impressed... my skin is definitely smoother and has an all over better glow. Time will tell if it becomes as big of a hit as its' counterpart make up line... but for right now, i'd definitely give it 5 stars.

Wavy Beach Hair. I've always loved the style and usually get in the groove of doing the messy wave thing on my own hair in the summer, but after spending a week at the beach.. I think i'm starting early this year. Wind blown waves are not only effortless looking (even though I would argue there is definitely an art to perfecting this style), they are also so fitting to the current season and trends that are on target for this spring. Below are some of my favorite celebs that always can kill the beach hairstyle...

An inspiration board. What a marvelous thing. While these boards or walls were previously just covered in pinned up pages and ideas for interior design or weddings, they are now making their way into the average household. And the best thing, as your mood changes, you can change out the objects and photos on your board. My latest project has been creating my own. It's a great way to pin up all those magazine pages, vintage photographs, cool tags, and everything else I love but never know what to do with. It's the perfect thing to glance up at when I am lacking a little luster in my day or need some new blogging ideas. Check out the ones below... these are some of my favorites and are all so unique from each other.

I think this was just the post I was needing to get me out of my recent lack of inspiration, lack of blogging slump :)

The Ghost Chair. This is something that I have come to really love. I think it's such a great way to add a modern touch without going overboard if that's not your taste. It's totally versatile, and can take on so many different characters and adapt to it's interior in any way. If using these chairs, you really can't go wrong.

Perfectly incorporated at events or receptions.
Decorated with sheer fabric for a chic touch.
My biggest obsession- used in a girly office space.
And how precious is this? They even made a collector's anniversary Barbie edition.

So right now , I'm totally obsessed with Gossip Girl. I just recently started back from season 1 and am re-watching all episodes from the beginning. I didn't really ever start watching it when it first came out, it was something I got into a little later on. There's no denying now though that I, along with most other high school and college girls, have a serious obsession with the show. Their wardrobes and their Upper Eastside lifestyles... what's not to love? Oh, and Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley are a nice little cherry on top :)

My current obsession of the moment is the boyfriend short. They're laid back and slouchy yet edgy and sexy. These shorts really have the best of both worlds- comfort and style. Perfectly paired with a denim top and wedges or with layered tanks and gladiator sandals. No questions asked, I'm in. The toughest part is choosing which ones to order... Here's a look at just a few of my favorites...
