Memories.

This week a year ago I spent my time in St. John, USVI. It was an incredible trip to paradise to share the love of Christ with others, along with a side of a perfect vacation. The team I was part of spent the week putting on a VBS for a local community in the mornings. In the afternoons, we would do some community outreach and have a little beach time for ourselves. The week could not have been more wonderful or more unexpected. The other day I was looking back at the pictures from the week and remembered all of the good times and adventures that were had...

And little did I know that, a year later, meeting this guy would have been one of the best things to have ever happened to me and be one of the biggest blessings from the trip (it just took about 8 months before I figured it out haha).

On the Road Again.

As if my blog hasn't been getting enough attention already... I'm off again for the next week to Nashville. Super excited to spend a week with my sweet boy, have some fun at the lake, hit the city, and just get away. I have, as usual, way overpacked so I'd say we're good to go. Gosh I love to travel.

Happy (Patriotic) Weekend.

It's one of my favorite weekends of the year. Be patriotic... wear red, white, or blue, hang a flag up outside, shoot some fireworks, sing God Bless America, eat some watermelon, and celebrate Life. Happy 4th of July Weekend.

Currently Obsessed.

Emi- Jay Hair Ties are on the top of my list right now. They are so great because they don't crease or snag your hair, you can have fun with the colors, and they double as a bracelet and look great around your wrist (which is great for me because I am constantly walking around with a ponytail holder on my arm). Recently I got the summer collection which is full of bright colors. If brights aren't for you though, no worries. You can obtain Emi- Jays in just about any color you can think of. Check out the Emi-Jay website... you'll be smitten too i'm sure.

Happy (Relaxing) Weekend.

Enjoy some time sleeping in, reading a good book, and relaxing by the pool... after all, it is summer. Happy Weekend indeed.

Currently Obsessed.

Leopard print on your feet. Being the lover of leopard that I am and having the obsession with Olivia Palermo's style that I do, I swoon while looking at pictures of her in leopard print kicks. I love how she pairs her Charlotte Olympia booties perfectly with any outfit, as well as the loafers and flats she slips on for a more casual look. What a perfect example of how leopard print is a year round trend and can completely spice up any outfit and add a playful yet feminine touch. Love.

Forgive me...

I accidentally peaced out from the blogging world for the past two weeks... oops. Not only have I had not made a post, I have gotten severely behind on all of my readings. With out of town company and then a random week long trip, I was a little preoccupied and my blog got zero attention. It feels good to be back now though, and hopefully any other disappearances will be a little more planned.

Empire State of Mind.

So last week I was in the Big Apple. Needless to say, I fell in love and wasn't quite ready to go home. We got into all kinds of adventures all over the city. Some of my favorite places inculded... The Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, and Grand Central Station. Dad and I also hit up a Yankees game, I met Carter Osterhouse from HGTV (he's a total hunk), and enjoyed Starbucks every morning even though they would butcher our names (Paris and Graham?? aka: Karis and Ray). Mary Poppins on Broadway was incredible, views from the Empire State Building were breathtaking, the food was mouthwatering, the shopping was absolutely to die for (I had to buy another suitcase to pack all of my findings in so everything would make it home), and our hotel was in the middle of Times Square. Pretty much.. I could live in the big city and be a very happy girl. NYC is definitely the "Concrete Jungle where Dreams are Made of."
